Workshop Services

TurboPre Services has the specialized workshop with the greatest capacity and technology at the national level, being able to serve the national market, handling top-level equipment in the areas of machining, balancing, special welding, heat treatment and application of coatings, guaranteeing to extend the useful life of rotating equipment components, offering quality and reliability.

The service we offer is adapted to the models and technology of each equipment. Therefore, we have a wide range of allied service providers worldwide who are able to respond appropriately and effectively to each situation.

In this way, we offer the following workshop services:

  • Machining: Repair of rotors (journals, seal areas, seals and blade height), nozzles, diaphragms, seal bodies, bearings and installation hardware.
  • Balancing: Balancing of equipment up to 800 RPM (Low speed balance).

Welding: Repair of stator and rotor components (turbine blades, diaphragms or nozzles, transition pieces, combustor baskets) of rotating equipment based on the manufacturer’s criteria, with certification in the following processes:

    • GTAW – Gas tungsten arc welding.
    • SMAW – Submerged electrode arc welding.
    • SAW – Submerged arc welding.
    • FCAW – Flux core arc welding.
    • GMAW Continuous wire arc welding with gas protection.
  • Coating application:
    • Coating of hot zone components by automated Thermal Barrel Coating (TBC).
    • Coatings of cold zone components by coating application with oven drying.
  • Heat treatments.
    • Vacuum heat treatment (controlled atmosphere).
    • Dehumidification heat treatment.
  • Cold assembly, modernization and repair processes.
    • Shell reconditioning and cold welding.
    • Manufacturing and supply of intake and exhaust systems.
    • Disassembly and assembly of rotors.
    • Replacement of blades.
    • Modernization of gas turbines, especially W-101 and MS 5001 technologies (Standard to high-tech).
  • Metallurgy laboratory.

TurboPre Services has a unique metallurgy laboratory in the country to advise on reconditioning processes (welding and heat treatments) of metal alloys with which the elements of the different equipment are manufactured.
